The 2019 Disaster Prevention and Reduction & Emergency Industry Expo in Beijing Presented Stunning High-tech Products
In an effort to effectively promote the development of disaster prevention and reduction emergency industry, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between emergency industries across the world, and raise the awareness of disaster prevention and reduction, the 11th International Disaster Prevention and Reduction & Emergency Industry Expo in 2019 was held in Beijing from June 26 to 28. The theme of the Expo was “promote the development of emergency industry and enhance the disaster prevention and reduction capabilities through scientific and technological means”.
The Expo was jointly organized by China Association for Disaster Prevention and Beijing Singls Exhibition. The Expo attracted more than 500 companies from all over the world, taking with them a large number of new technologies and new equipment to be presented on the exhibition. The Expo presented a wide range of products, covering the fields of intelligent fire protection, drone system, surveying and mapping geographic information, police equipment, high-rise escape, flood control and drought relief, emergency medical treatment, special lighting, earthquake warning, satellite communications, special vehicles, VR disaster reduction, marine pollution prevention, special tents, environmental emergency treatment, police security, safety education, family emergency items, etc.
The reporter saw on this year’s Expo that the exhibition venue was full of various high-tech products. VR disaster prevention, emergency command system, rescue drone, emergency management informationization program, integrated disaster relief equipment, mobile special lighting, emergency water purification equipment, amphibious rescue vehicle, professional emergency medical rescue equipment, “BeiDou plus big data” disaster prevention technology, geological disaster warning system and other high-precision disaster prevention emergency technical equipment were shown on the exhibition.
Since VR disaster simulation experience areas and disaster prevention and reduction safety education rooms were set up at the exhibition venue, the visitors were able to experience the disaster scene in an immersive situation. Meanwhile, they could also learn self-rescue and escape knowledge and raise their awareness of disaster prevention and reduction at the site.
As some experts expressed, this year’s Expo will further improve conditions for the development of emergency industry, effectively enhance the overall level and core competitiveness of the disaster prevention and reduction emergency industry, realize the sharing of industrial resources, and improve China’s emergency rescue level and disaster prevention and reduction capabilities. This is of great significance for the sound sustainable development of China and will exert positive impacts on the creation of new economic growth points.
The Summit Forum on the Development of Disaster Prevention and Reduction Emergency Industry was held simultaneously during the Expo. In-depth discussions were held on the current situation of China’s disaster prevention and reduction, leading disaster prevention concepts overseas, police-citizen integration and disaster prevention and reduction, the development of emergency industry, promotion and procurement process of emergency product, development trends of disaster prevention and reduction emergency industry in the future and other hot topics in the industry.
